HAPPY HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH! I love a themed TBR! These are the books that I plan to read to celebrate this beautiful heritage. Well, I may be a bit ambitious, so I SHOULD narrow the list down to two, right? LOL. Have you read any of these novels? Which one should I start with first?

My current read. I LOVE this series already. Now this book is about 600ish pages, but it is gooood! I love the world building and the characters. Oh, to be 18 years old again...I wish! The innocence of Poppy, one of the main characters, makes this sweet. I love how Hawke handles her with care. I hope I am not misspeaking because I am halfway finished with this beauty! This book is definitely taking me on a rollercoaster of emotions, but I'm holding on! I have so much to discuss with Jennifer Armentrout when I meet her!

Updated September 2026:
My current read is From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I have heard so many good things about this series, so I am trying to check it out before I meet her at Miss Willa's Bookshop at the end of the month. This is book 1 of 6, just so you know. Jennifer writes THICCCK books, so you will either read it really quickly or need to break it up (like me).

Before you browse my bookshelf: I’m a Black reader, and celebrating Black authors, characters, and stories is an important part of my reading life—but it isn’t the entirety of it.My bookshelf reflects my curiosity. I read across cultures, genres, identities, and experiences, from romance and contemporary fiction to historical fiction, fantasy, and whatever else catches my attention. Sometimes I choose a book because it connects to a place I’m traveling. Sometimes I’m looking for a story that reflects my own experiences. And sometimes I just want a really good book. You’ll see plenty of Black stories here, along with books by and about people from all over the world. AC Booked It is about exploring through both pages and plane tickets—and I want my bookshelf to reflect that same sense of discovery.
